Following the massive success of the 2006 Bec Korfball World Cup, Bec are pleased to announce the return of the event this year on Saturday 4th August 2007. The event has now been upgraded to a Saturday tournament with a monumental social on the Saturday night in the club house. Camping is available on site so you can stumble back to the tents after the bar closes.

This year to celebrate the 2007 Rugby World Cup, each team will be designated a Rugby Nation. As with last year teams are asked to dress up as their chosen country for the days games. This could be as simple as just the team colour or (we hope) some inventive added touches.  Last year we had some great costumes, with the Morris Dancing Mitcham (as England) taking home the trophy, with other highlights being the Rastafarians from Trinidad & Tobago and Blonds from Holland.

The tournament will take place on Saturday 4th August at Esher Rugby Club (The Rugby Ground, 369 Molesey Road, Hersham, Surrey, KT12 3PF, www.esherrfc.org (click here) ).

The venue is within walking distance of Hersham train station and camping is available on Saturday night should teams wish to travel the day before.

Entry for the tournament is £35.
